This week, the overall market capitalization for the top 100 cryptocurrencies decrease of 9.45%, with 84 projects decreased in value to varying degrees.

According to coinmarketcap, as of August 18th, 2019, the total market cap of cryptocurrencies was 273.45 billion U.S. dollars, decreased by 9.45%, and the total market cap of the top 100 cryptocurrencies was 266.46 billion U.S. dollars, decreased by 9.52% 📉 from last week. 4 cryptocurrency projects entered the top 100 this week, namely ALGO, CCCX, ETP, OKB.

As of August 18th, 2019, Bitcoin was traded at 10345.81 USD, 9.83% lower than its price last week. Ethereum was traded at 194.49 USD, decreased by 9.44%. This week, the overall market capitalization for the top 100 cryptocurrencies decreased by 11.31%. Among TOP 100 cryptocurrency project segments, the total market cap of coin class projects received the largest decrease and the average market cap of platform class projects received the largest decrease. The market segment distribution of the top 100 cryptocurrencies remained stable.

This week, the Hashrate of Bitcoin and the Hashrate of Ethereum both decreased. The difficulty of mining Bitcoin and the difficulty of mining Ethereum both increased. The average number of transactions per block of Bitcoin and the average block size of Bitcoin both decreased. The average number of transactions per block of Ethereum and the average block size of Ethereum decreased. The average transaction fees of Bitcoin decreased, and the average transaction fees of Ethereum decreased. INS was the most active project on GitHub this week.

Bitcoin’s Hashrate was 74.46EH/s, decreased by 0.27% from last week and Ethereum’s Hashrate was 178.52TH/s, decreased by 0.53% from last week. The difficulty of mining Bitcoin was 9.99T, increased by 3.0% from last week. The average difficulty of mining Ethereum this week was 2304.57TH, increased by 0.05% from that of previous week. The number of mined blocks in Bitcoin’s entire network was 1002, decreased 4.93%. Ethereum’s entire network mined 45583 blocks, decreased 0.24%.

In network activity, the average number of transactions per block of Bitcoin and the average block size of Bitcoin decreased. The average number of transactions per block of Ethereum and the average block size of Ethereum decreased this week. According to blockchain.info, from August 12th, 2019-August 18th, 2019, the average size of each block was 1.02MB, decreased 5.56%; there were on average 2176 transactions recorded in each block, decreased by 1.45% from the previous week. According to etherscan data, the average size of each block was 20273 bytes, decreased by 0.09% compared to last week. There were on average 106.86 transactions recorded in each block, decreased 0.03%.

As of August 18th, 2019, the average transaction fees on the Bitcoin network this week was $1.087, decreased by 14.21% from last week. The average transaction fees on the Ethereum network this week was $0.0887, decreased by 14.71% from last week. Total number of addresses on the Blockchain and Ethereum network reached 41.31 million and 71.45 million, increased 1.37 million(0.33%) and 0.57(0.81%) million respectively. INS was the most active project on GitHub this week, with 234 commits submitted in the past week.

In terms of community activity, Torn, Bitcoin and Ethereum are the most popular communities on Facebook. On Twitter, the most popular communities are Bitcoin, Ripple and Tron.
